Cameroon Conservation Foundation (CCF) is an independent non-governmental organization established in 2012, with registration number: 00001401/RDA/J08/BAPP/ in accordance with law Number. 90/53 of December 1990 under article 7 relating to the formation, governing and functioning of associations in Cameroon. The Foundation works with a team of resource persons, consultants, and volunteers to address key issues relating to the conservation of our Wildlife and the protection of the Cameroon fragile ecosystems through training, research, capacity building and community engagement. The Foundation uses Environmental Education as an approach to share information, create awareness, and address issues of global, national, and local concern: climate change, Biodiversity conservation, marine litter, water and waste management, Air Quality monitoring, food security, land degradation, and disaster risk reduction.

The Foundation enforces and pushes conventions, Environmental legal instruments, and mechanisms ratified by Government of Cameroon and African Countries into the national plans of action, and development programs which are translated into local actions and contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our Mission

CCF is working to enhance ownership of wildlife and their habitats by implementing actions such as

Objectives

1. Provide long-term support and action plan towards biodiversity conservation in Cameroon, for the sustainable use and management of forest resources, while preserving the rich biodiversity of Cameroon. Encourage effective community-based forest management that supports biodiversity conservation and supports the implementation of strategies for sustainable use of forest resources by stakeholders.

4. Provides expert advice to support national officials and key decision-making bodies involved in the intergovernmental negotiating committee process towards the development of a new legally binding global agreement to combat marine plastic pollution, including providing input into the development of specific policy papers. provides expert advice to support national officials and key decision-making bodies involved in the intergovernmental negotiating committee.

2. Engages in high-quality scientific research, provides consultancy and policy advice to protect Cameroon’s endangered wildlife and their habitats, and supports biodiversity conservation and sustainable management in the Cameroon forest resources.

5. Provide Decision-makers at all levels with evidence-based analysis and advice to underpin important decisions, develop innovative solutions to environmental problems, and enhance the economic value and sustainable management of aquatic resources and environments.

6. Ensure permanent ecological and socio-economic monitoring systems to assess the trends in biodiversity conservation and livelihoods. Raise Environmental Awareness, Protect the Rights of Indigenous People & empower them to protect the Environment.
